BIO

Hailing from Portland, Oregon, the psychedelic pop quartet UHF formed in 1998. In 2000, the lads released the concept album LOTTERY which garnered national critical acclaim and nationwide college radio airplay. In 2002, UHF released IF IT WAS EASY. Produced by pop mastermind Gregg Williams (whose credits include Dandy Warhols and Sheryl Crow), IF IT WAS EASY earned critical acclaim, radio airplay and television sound bites. After extensive touring of the West Coast in 2003 and 2004, UHF is currently putting the finishing touches on their highly anticipated new record, set for release in Fall 2005.

She's A LoverPlay Song

UHF contributed their recording of "She's a Lover" from the absolutely essential 1970 Pretty Things record "Parachute". Phil May, leader of the Pretty Things, liked UHF's version so much, he called the boys TWICE from London to tell them how impressed he was with their recording of "She's a Lover".


Deep Roots 8 [2005]

UHF recorded the original song, "Cellar Door ", for Deep Roots VIII, the eight edition of the compilation series that gives high school students a chance to collaborate with musicians by having their lyrics turned into songs. OldSchool HouseRock, the Pacific Northwest band collective, has released its first compilation CD, Volume 1, and UHF is on it. While the songs here are not exclusive to this disc, the thirteen-track disc features some amazing music by bands like Jonah, Charmparticles, Dr. Theopolis, Empty Set, Little Sue, and more.
